bubble blowing hippies.

Last Sunday finally felt like spring was on its way, and I seriously don't think anyone on the planet knows how much I am craving warm weather. Good because when it comes I am going to have a secret rejoicement, (rejoicement is not a word) party in my room and dance to spring songs and smell the flowers and do all that stereotypical spring time stuff people write about.
I like to call the beautiful bright yellow chequered pants my clown pants. Firstly because they are quite oversized on me a secondly they are yellow and chequered and should be appreciated for it. I got them at the markets the day before.

And because I am just so artistically talented and obsessed with bubbles I spent a good amount of time photographing bubbles in my backyard. This is also because I have no friends and nothing better to do with my time.

Meg over and out.

in sickness and in health.

Before continuing to post I feel like I must open up about something. I guess posting on the blog has allowed me to sort of mask myself to people reading it and to appear differently than I may be. The truth is I was recently diagnosed with depression, anxiety and anorexic behaviours. When I say anorexic behaviours it is more about the issue of a loss of appetite rather than the influence of body insecurity although I do admit to not loving my body. Regardless of the reason however I lost a dangerous amount of weight considering what I was before and was in a very unhealthy state and I guess I still am.

Suffering from depression seems to have been over the last couple of years but over recent series of events got worse until I had had no energy and was constantly crying over things that I really shouldn't have been worrying about. So eventually help was sought. Psychiatrists, psychologists, pills, family counselling etc. and I hated all of it, but as things have progressed its gotten better.

I feel obliged to tell my readers about the person writing and not 'mask' myself as ridiculously cheesy and clique as that sounds. My blog is still all about fashion and style, an element of my life which makes every day less monotonous. Yes I did just look up that big word.

But to finish on hopefully a lighter note I am going to try and avoid posting without pictures or visual displays of some kind because they are totally awesome and drone out the boring stuff I  write so please enjoy some metallic technicolour visual inspirations.

to market to market.

If there is one thing that I have now learnt in my 15 years of living it is that you will always find something you want to buy when you are strolling around the many stalls of Glebe markets. Whether it be records, clothes or of course market food which I pride myself in being an expert in. Anways this is how I spent my Saturday and it was thoroughly enjoyable and I dressed like a horse riding, western gal with my blue Linda Farrow glasses.

You can sort of see my country house brooch on my jumper in there, and because we are now the same size I am secretly stealing all of my mums clothes and am wearing an old blouse and jumper of her plus her boots and skirt. The only things I own are the belt and the pin. Is it normal to be wearing the clothes of a near 50  year old woman? Yes, dear readers, yes it is. Want 2 b the coolest kid owt?!?! Wear you mum's clothes.

welcome to the wild west.

Carrying on from last post I'm sort of channelling native American and wild west sort of inspirations so I decided to collate them into this collagy inspirationy miscellaneous book. I'm really at loss at what to call it so apologies but yeah I'm just pasting things in it that I feel necessary.
The scan quality gets progressively better I promise.

starting fresh .

I'm going through this sort of country phase where all I wear is big leather boots and giant cardigans and yet in this weather I'm still so cold! What ever happened to that whole global warming deal, right now I'm almost welcoming the idea. Kidding, green peace, turn off your lights, grown plants. Well at least that's what I try to think about. I'm making myself a "better person" eating healthy fresh start ya know? I'm betting it will only last for a solid week or so but I'm enjoying it anways.

I'm also really feeling the brown palette its kind of country western-esque which is sort of the basis of my inspirations at the moment and again the leather boots they go everywhere with me at the moment. Even to bed...No because that would be weird. Yeah not to bed.

Gosh! I'm seeing double. How embarrassing
I recently splurged on these Linda Farrow glasses and I'm continually telling myself  "I have never appreciated a pair sunglasses more in life", on the basis of the amount of money that was spent on them but when I saw them it was sort of "uh.....are....um....wow....for...sale?" and the shop assistant understood my word vomit and replied soothingly as shop assistants should "try them on." They remind me of the Prada sunglasses from Spring and are truly delightful in every way. I wore them to the markets the other day and this lady came up to me awkwardly and complimented them. These glasses have a good prescence.

i defy you stars.

Sleeping patterns are weird things. Its like sometimes I feel so tired that I'm overly energetic and I don't know if this is one of my many abnormal traits or if its a common thing. And then whenever its a school morning I suddenly have the demanding need to sleep in but when it comes to the weekend I cant lay there for more than 10 minutes after I have woken up. As I write this I have the I am getting a strong urge to catch some zzz's and have been for the last few days so my outfits have been, well, unexciting...looking back. It's like I've been too tired to be inspired. Did I just write an unintentional rhyme?
What has been taking up a lot of my time is this project me and my friend are doing for english in relation to Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. We had to pick a theme in the play and represent it in any way we wished. Out teacher used interpretive dance as an example so I'm hoping 'any way we wished' covers a wide range of expressive techniques.
Our theme was fate and Calvinism and we settled on doing a bit of photography not to mention intense editing.

Tell me what you think?
